I had a tutoring session with Mr. Weaver and I was very disappointed. Before meeting with him I sent him my assignment and he said that he could help me with assignment like that. I drove 40 minutes to meet him and he started teaching the basics of Java to me. Then, when I told him to do the assignment with me, he said that my assignment was too difficult and he couldn't do it. I was extremely ticked because I don't have time to drive for 40 minutes and meet with someone who clearly knew that he couldn't help me with my assignment. A few days later, I got charged $50 for a tutoring session when he didn't help me at all. Maybe he'll be a good fit for someone who wants to learn the basics of Java.

David works well with the student and converses with them on their level. He is quite personable and is willing to help, even under adverse circumstances (the computer's server at the library was not working) - this hindered his tutoring her a little. Next time, she will know to bring her own lap top. David was able to pin point accurately some of the student's issues and problem areas. I am confident the student will gain much from David. Review for 9/12/2013: David works to motivate the student who is difficult to motivate at times. He explained the problems she failed on her recent test and she seemed to understand them. She has some review pages to do and hopefully she will do them as David instructed. Her mother and I will do everything we can to get her to do them by Saturday evening. David is an excellent tutor and I think he will be a good influence on her. Thanks to David for all that he can do to encourage her. Review for 9/17/2013 The student seemed to think she actually learned something tonight. For this, we are excited as she has had so much difficulty in the past with math. We are quite fortunate to have David for a tutor as he understands her problems and is most willing to go the extra mile in inspiring her. We look forward to the next tutoring session. She is looking forward to doing some experimentation on the computer with geometry. Review for 9/24/2013 The student is finally beginning to understand the math problems due to David's excellent tutelage and his experience in working with young people. He certainly has been able to pin point some of her weaknesses and problems as well as identify her strengths. He is like a psychologist as well as a tutor. We appreciate all he does for her. He also challenges her where she hasn't been challenged in the past. We owe him a big THANK YOU!!!

David is willing to work with me through my frustrations and he seems to be just as focused and motivated towards my goal as I am, what more could I ask for? He is very flexible with his schedule and never late. Every lesson has a progressive plan to keep moving forward towards my goals. He is 100% on board to work hard for you as long as you are willing and motivated. He is a very intelligent man with good patience that will work with you on your level. I have so far been very pleased with our lessons.
